Urban Survival; Have you quit your day job yet?
A few months after Hazardous John and myself returned from living in S.E.Asia, we soon figured that society isn't all it's cracked up to be.
One night at Hazardous John's humble abode, he showed me a photo on his phone. It was a picture if some graffiti he had spotted, reading; 'Have you quit your day job yet?'.
We both smiled at the photo, then laughed even more when I told Hazardous John that it was me who sprayed that graffiti the night before.
As amused as we were, the message I wanted to relay in that piece of graffiti does have an air of importance to it.
And it seems like we're not the only ones.
Matador is running this photo essay on people who have taken the plunge and quit their day jobs to instead pursue their passions in life.

Maybe it's just me but quitting a ridiculously over paid, lengthy high flying career with a big fat bank account to boot to fulfill your "dreams" doesn't quite cut the inspiring mustard for me. Many of their occupations which feed the "system" that's killing us all is another example of the elite living their elite lives whilst the average Joe busts his arse in the mundaneness of living just to feed his family. Following people living on or below the breadline quitting to fulfill their passions or even better selfless passions, now that would surely have to be an inspiration to a far greater community of people.
